FUSEE’s Wildland Firefighter Wellness Program Art Contest Guidelines
FUSEE is excited to announce an art contest to find a beautiful new representation of our Wildland Firefighter Wellness Program! FUSEE’s Wellness Program includes the Wildland Firefighter Retreat series at Tassajara Mountain Zen Center, Wellspring Spa, and Great Vow Zen Monastery, wellness policy advocacy, resource sharing, and public education. Learn about the retreats and more on the wellness section of our website. We are seeking a design that captures the essence of the message that firefighter safety includes mental, emotional and physical wellbeing, and that wellness includes the wholeness of people interconnected with the land.
Please use one of the below taglines (or come up with your own) in your art piece.
“Burnout isn't bravery”
“You can’t pour from an empty torch”
We especially encourage submissions from current and former wildland firefighters or fire practitioners, and artists connected to fire-affected communities.
Eligibility:
Must be original artwork created by the artist submitting (art using AI is not allowed)
Artist must be age 18+ and live in the United States
Must submit a high quality .jpg/.jpeg/.png file type of the art. The art can be multiple colors for use online and social media, but will need to also work as a single color for screen printing
Must be able to submit a vector file in a single color
Artist must give consent for their art to be used on merchandise and online on FUSEE platforms

The new Wellness Program t-shirt featuring their art and a $100 credit to our Fire Shop
Recognition everywhere the art is being used, including merchandise and online
The opportunity for an artist highlight on our social media and newsletter, with a link to their portfolio or product page
1st and 2nd Runners Up:
A $25 credit to our Fire Shop
The opportunity for their art to be highlighted on FUSEE social media, with recognition
The winning artist’s piece will be screen printed on t-shirts and sold at retreats, events, and on our website, (see our other t-shirt design here), as well as utilized in marketing and social media.

Please include your name in the file name of the (i.e. LastNameArt.jpg)
Complete the contest submission form ensuring all eligibility requirements above are met
Note: artists retain ownership of their work, while granting FUSEE permission to use, reproduce, and sell the design on merchandise and digital platforms.
