Megan is a wildland fire practitioner and student of fire. She has years of experience working for and with nonprofit organizations committed to ecological stewardship, forest defense, and climate defense. 

Megan has a bachelor’s degree in English and she believes in the power and necessity of story to connect people and ideas toward a shared purpose. She is drawn to the places, experiences, and ideas where the spirit of the natural world and science meet, and is steadfast in her commitment to helping protect communities, habitat, and wildlife. Her engagement with fire is built around this commitment, and her aim is to improve and support the use of safe, ecological, and cultural fire efforts wherever and however possible.
