Lisa is a retired Physician Assistant in Eugene, Oregon, where she practiced family medicine for 28 years. Lisa currently serves as a Board member of the McKenzie Valley Long Term Recovery Group (LTRG), working with survivors of the 2020 Holiday Farm fires to navigate the impact of losing homes and livelihoods, and helping the community rebuild. Lisa has been impressed and inspired by the emotional recovery and resilience of the people in the valley. Her experience in the LTRG led her to study fire ecology at the local community college. She has been interested in the emotional and physical health impacts to wildland firefighters.  Lisa enjoys pottery, boating, hiking and wilderness adventures, and spending time with family and friends.
