Was it a wrongful conviction? Inside the case of Hakiym Sha'ir Virtual Documentary Watch Party, Discussion, and Letter Writing

Date/Time: July 2nd at 5:30pm

Location: Zoom

Join FireGen Collaborative and FUSEE for a virtual watch party this Thursday of the recently released documentary about Hakiym Sha'ir and the JusticeforHakiym Sha'ir grassroots movement: "Was it a wrongful conviction? Inside the case of Hakiym Sha'ir."

Hakiym is a wildland firefighter who has been wrongfully imprisoned since 2024, sentenced by an all white jury in Southern Oregon after defending himself during a racist physical attack from a fellow firefighter.

Learn more about the injustice of his case and the ways people are building power and fighting for his freedom at our watch party! After we will chat about the documentary and hold a news and media focused letter writing session. Our collective action will call for #justiceforhakiym!
